Job summary

The Virtual Preparatory Academy of Florida, part of ACCEL Schools, is seeking a Mathematics Content Coach to support grades 3–10 with standards-aligned curriculum and pacing in a statewide online setting.

This role partners with teachers to monitor mastery, analyze performance, and adjust pacing while maintaining alignment to pacing guides. Occasional travel for in-person testing and events is required several times per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education with 5+ years of math education experience.
• Strong knowledge of math standards, curriculum, pacing and assessment.
• Experience developing or monitoring curriculum maps and pacing guides.
• Ability to analyze student data to identify instructional priorities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support mathematics teachers in grades 3–10 with standards-aligned curriculum and pacing.
• Monitor pacing and ensure priority standards are taught within timelines.
• Track which standards have been introduced, taught, assessed, and mastered.
• Help unpack standards and understand concepts, skills, rigor.
• Review curriculum maps and resources for alignment.
• Analyze student achievement data to identify gaps.
• Collaborate with teachers to adjust pacing based on performance.
• Assist in identifying prerequisite skills and address learning gaps.
• Maintain documentation on pacing, mastery and instructional needs.
• Stay current on state standards and best practices.
