Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC seeks an Intervention Specialist for our online K-12 program. The role emphasizes rigorous instruction and social-emotional development, supporting students with IEPs in a virtual setting.

Occasional in-person travel will be required for state testing and events to maintain program quality. Responsibilities include collaborating with teachers, conducting assessments, writing IEP goals, and engaging families in student progress.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience with full inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Comfort with growth-focused coaching based on observations and progress monitoring.
• High-quality written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to interpret abilities and disabilities and support intervention strategies.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction and behavior.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans aligned with IEPs.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write goals and objectives.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress and growth.
