Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC is seeking an Intervention Specialist for a virtual role focused on supporting students with IEPs. The position emphasizes rigorous and nurturing classroom environments, social-emotional development, and collaboration with teachers.

The role requires conducting assessments, writing IEP goals, and coordinating with families. Open to Ohio residents; occasional travel for state testing and events.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full room inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass background checks (FBI/BCI).

Responsibilities

• Interpret abilities and disabilities; assist intervention strategies and modify curricula as needed.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction and functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans; facilitate IEP meetings and goals.
• Communicate with families about student growth and progress; support state testing and events.
