Job summary

Jefferson Classical Academy of Ohio seeks an Intervention Specialist to support K–8 students in a virtual, tuition-free program, with occasional in-person events for testing. This online role requires travel several times per year to support state testing and events.

You will collaborate with teachers to conduct assessments, plan interventions, and facilitate IEP meetings while promoting social-emotional learning and culturally responsive practices. Ohio residents preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with implementing IEP goals and objectives.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in inclusive classrooms or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Ability to communicate effectively with families and students.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers to interpret abilities and disabilities and modify general education curricula as needed.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction and functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans and IEP goals.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and communicate student progress to families.
• Support student achievement and social-emotional development; participate in non-instructional activities.
