Job summary

Amae Health is hiring a part-time Virtual Intake Therapist to serve as the clinical front door for prospective members across California clinics. This fully virtual role conducts comprehensive intake assessments and determines the right course of care for individuals living with serious mental illness (SMI).

You will assess biopsychosocial history, mental status, risk, and level of care, and decide if they fit Amae’s integrated SMI care model to join PHP or IOP programs.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field.
• Active license to practice as a therapist in California.

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual biopsychosocial assessments and mental status exams.
• Determine level of care and fit for Amae’s integrated SMI care model.
• Coordinate with California clinic teams for hand-offs and care planning.
• Engage potential members and caregivers about Amae Health’s program benefits.
• Provide occasional therapy coverage across California clinics during low intake.
