Job summary

Amae Health is seeking a part-time Virtual Intake Therapist to serve as the clinical front door for prospective members across California. This fully remote, licensed role conducts comprehensive intake assessments and determines the right course of care for individuals with serious mental illness.

You will perform biopsychosocial histories, mental status exams, risk assessments, and diagnostic impressions, coordinating with clinics for seamless hand-offs and referrals when Amae is not the best

Qualifications

• Active California licensure to practice therapy (LCSW/LMFT/LPCC or Psychologist).
• Master's or Doctoral degree in a clinical field required.
• Experience conducting intake assessments and level-of-care determinations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive virtual intake assessments for prospective Amae members.
• Determine level of care and fit for Amae's PHP/IOP, with proper referrals as needed.
• Develop diagnostic impressions and preliminary treatment recommendations.
• Coordinate with clinic teams across California for warm hand-offs.
• Communicate with families and referrers about Amae programs and processes.
• Maintain accurate intake documentation and support insurance authorization.
