Job summary

Pomelo Care is building a national network of experienced birth and full-spectrum doulas to support families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. This 1099 independent contractor role requires certification and experience as a doula, with strong communication to educate and empower clients both virtually and in person.

You’ll maintain timely documentation, adhere to privacy and quality standards, and coordinate with Pomelo to match clients and manage flexible scheduling including evenings

Qualifications

• You have completed certification and training as a birth and/or full-spectrum doula.
• You have experience working as a doula with understanding of pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
• You have strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with families from diverse backgrounds both virtually and in-person.
• You're comfortable using telehealth platforms, video conferencing tools, and electronic documentation systems.
• You have availability for virtual and in-person work, including evenings and weekends.
• You are located in or able to serve one of our core service areas: Greenville, Lexington, Spartanburg and York counties in South Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Educate and guide families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
• Play a vital role in improving birth outcomes by ensuring families feel supported and empowered during this transformative time.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation for visits and birth support.
• Follow applicable documentation, privacy, quality, and compliance standards for Pomelo services.
