Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced Virtual Desktop Systems Engineer for a national intelligence program that delivers engineering, deployment, operations, upgrades and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client's global missions. The Virtual Desktop Systems Engineer will have an emphasis on User Profiles.

The role includes managing user accounts, licenses and performance monitoring, plus ensuring data security and regulatory compliance across a multi-user environment.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain Poly.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with extensive relevant experience.
• Proven work experience in large, distributed computing environments.
• Experience with data analysis tools and security/compliance focus.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage user accounts, permissions, licenses, and monitoring of system performance.
• Analyze data to improve infrastructure performance and implement solutions.
• Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards.
• Maintain smooth operation of multi-user systems with network coordination.
• Monitor resources (CPU, disk, response time) for efficiency.
• Remediate enterprise design to mitigate performance and cybersecurity risks.
• Perform security administration and user profile management.
• Provide Tier 1/2 support for issue diagnosis and resolution.
• Configure OS and enterprise servers; install and configure apps.
• Perform databases backups, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Interact with users and interfacing applications; assist with recovery.
• Develop and maintain processes, test results, and user guidelines.
• Travel may be required within the NCR as needed.
