Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced systems Virtual Desktop Systems Administrator to join a national intelligence program delivering engineering, development, deployment and sustainment of IT products and services. You will manage VDI environments, build images, secure files, and optimize end-user experience across devices.

Candidates should have TS/SCI with poly, CISSP/Security+ and DoD 8570 IAT certifications, plus 5+ years of relevant IT/VDI experience; a Bachelor’s is required with

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to pass a Poly.
• Current CISSP or Security+ certification.
• Experience as a PC Technician, VDI Administrator or similar IT support role.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT I or IAT II certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage VDI environments and desktop devices, including installs, configurations, upgrades and patch management.
• Analyze desktop configuration options for end-user fit and performance.
• Create, maintain and deploy desktop images.
• Monitor file server permissions and manage user changes for security.
• Support network security and redundancy; manage cryptography for network apps; ensure file system integrity.
• Develop and deliver user training for operating systems and applications.
• Install and configure desktops, laptops, mobile devices and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot issues and respond to technical support requests.
• Assess user experience and implement enhancements.
• Develop, implement and maintain processes, tests, results, and user guidelines.

Education

Bachelor’s degree

Master’s degree with 3 years relevant experience

PhD with 0 years relevant experience

Additional 4 years experience may substitute for degree

DoD 8570.01-M IAT I or DoD 8570.01-M IAT II certification
