Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Virtual Desktop Operations Engineer in New York, NY to deliver secure, resilient, high-performing virtual desktop experiences across the organization. You will build and maintain infrastructure platforms and automate operations to support applications and data systems.

You will apply SRE principles, monitor and analyze telemetry, implement secure configurations, and collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers to improve reliability and platform stability.

Qualifications

• Citrix technologies including Citrix Cloud, CVAD, and Gateway experience.
• Site Reliability Engineering principles applied to improve reliability, availability, and performance.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and telemetry tools (Citrix Director, Citrix Analytics, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Splunk).
• Experience working in ITIL-aligned enterprise environments.
• Scripting and automation using PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Build, deliver, and maintain high-quality infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements.
• Monitor system performance to identify and resolve issues, vulnerabilities, or outages.
• Automate tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers to align infrastructure with business goals.
• Ensure security configurations and protect infrastructure from cyber threats.
