Job summary

Compass Health Center seeks a group therapist to deliver evidence-based groups via virtual PHP/IOP across Illinois. You will facilitate CBT/DBT/ACT modalities, build therapeutic group relationships, and relay clinical updates during rounds.

The role supports evening hours (12:30–8:30pm CST, Monday–Friday) and involves charting in EMR, treatment planning, and potential individual case management as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed psychologist or Master’s level therapist authorized in Illinois.
• Experience delivering group therapy with CBT/DBT/ACT.
• Experience in PHP/IOP settings preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Providing group therapy to patients in a safe and therapeutic milieu.
• Developing therapeutic group relationships that promote positive change.
• Utilizing CBT, DBT, ACT and other evidence-based therapies.
• Relaying clinical information to the treatment team during rounds.
• Developing and updating program material and group content.
• Engaging in crisis management when needed.
• Creating and updating treatment plans and charting in EMR.
• May meet with patients individually for case management.

This is a full-time, virtual position that will support our evening hours, which are 12:30-8:30pm CST Monday through Friday.

What You'll Do:

• Providing group therapy to patients in a safe and therapeutic milieu
• Developing effective therapeutic group relationships that promote positive change in patients
• Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as other evidenced-based therapies
• Relaying relevant clinical information to treatment team during daily rounds and as needed
• Developing program material and adjusting group therapy content, as needed, to fit group needs
• Engaging in crisis management, as needed
• Creating and updating treatment plans
• Charting in our electronic medical records system
• This position may also include meeting with patients individually for case management

Who You Are:

• Are passionate about facilitating group therapy and seeking an environment to work collaboratively with others
• Are a Psychologist or Master’s level therapist
• Provisional or independent clinical license in the state of Illinois
• Possess a core skill set of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills
• Have prior experience working in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting (preferred, not required)

This range includes multiple career path levels across the organization; where you fall in the range is dependent upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, your years of experience, type of experience, location, and education/certifications. Compensation: $47,000 USD - $65,000 USD
