Job summary

Sentara Independence in Virginia Beach, VA is hiring Registered Nurses for the Innovative Inpatient Care Model in the Centralized Virtual Acute Care Department. This is not remote and the role works evenings in the hospital setting, supporting bedside nurses via video-enabled care coordination.

As a Virtual RN, you will perform admissions, discharges, patient teaching, medication reconciliation, and related tasks helping to lighten the bedside workload while maintaining high-quality care and

Qualifications

• RN-Associate's Degree is required.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• Registered Nurse License required.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• 5 years of recent acute care bedside nursing experience required.
• IMCU experience preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing duties via video calls in the Virtual Care hub (admissions, discharges, patient teaching, medication reconciliation).
• Support bedside nurses to alleviate workload and improve patient care and satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure timely, safe, and informed patient care.
