Job summary

Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, LLC (ICE) seeks Transportation Construction Inspectors for the Salem District, Virginia. The role involves inspecting highway construction and maintenance projects under supervision to ensure quality per plans and specs, supporting safe, cost-efficient infrastructure delivery.

Responsibilities include monitoring contractor work, documenting progress, and coordinating with agency staff.

Qualifications

• Must possess HS diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with VDOT or similar road/bridge projects a plus.
• Ability to read plans, specs, and perform field testing.

Responsibilities

• Inspect contractors' work for quality and compliance on highway projects.
• Take measurements and verify materials and pay items.
• Maintain daily diaries, reports, and project records.
• Coordinate inspection phases with contractors and agency personnel.
