Job summary

Operation Smile seeks an Associate for Student Programs in Virginia to empower youth and maintain active engagement in schools and universities across the state. The role involves building relationships, coordinating events, and supporting fundraising initiatives.

You will work with the AVP and global project manager to plan local and regional activities, travel as needed, and promote the organization’s pillars of Education, Advocacy, and Action.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years experience working with youth (elementary through university).
• Experience planning events, conferences, and/or workshops.
• Experience with fundraising, development, and grants/writing proposals.

Responsibilities

• Establish and foster new relationships with student groups and engage stakeholders.
• Maintain relationships with existing student groups and coordinate events and fundraisers.
• Coordinate budgets/variance reports with AVP for Virginia region activities.
• Update Student Programs databases and track data to drive strategies.
• Plan and execute local events at or near Operation Smile HQ and regional events.
• Coordinate field trips to HQ for OS clubs and manage communications with students.
