Sun Recruiting, Inc. is sourcing an Attorney for our Virginia Beach, Virginia team. This role features no billable hour requirements and a base salary with potential for additional attorney-negotiated settlements.

You will handle litigation matters from inception through resolution, draft pleadings, and negotiate settlements while maintaining independent caseloads with support from an experienced legal team.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia law license required.
• Ability to analyze cases and negotiate effective settlements.
• Strong understanding of civil litigation practices and courtroom procedures.
• Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to prioritize deadlines and manage a high-volume caseload.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology platforms.

Responsibilities

• Handle litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
• 2/3 days on-site, primarily signing.
• Negotiate settlements and work toward efficient resolution of disputed matters.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances throughout your assigned territory (travel expenses reimbursed).
• Partner with internal staff, clients, and opposing counsel to move cases forward effectively and professionally.
• Maintain accurate case records and manage deadlines across multiple matters.
