CareerNerds, LLC in Virginia Beach, VA seeks an Attorney to join its growing team. The role focuses on civil litigation and creditors' rights with no billable hour requirements and a competitive base salary plus attorney-negotiated settlements.

You will receive comprehensive training and support to expand into collections or creditors' rights litigation, while independently managing a caseload with support from an experienced legal and administrative team.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia law license.
• Strong negotiation and settlements experience.
• Solid understanding of civil litigation practices and courtroom procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and prioritize deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal tech platforms.

Responsabilités

• Handle litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
• 2–3 days on-site, primarily signing.
• Negotiate settlements and work toward efficient resolution of disputed matters.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances in assigned territory (travel expenses reimbursed).
• Partner with internal staff, clients, and opposing counsel to move cases forward professionally.
• Maintain accurate case records and deadlines across multiple matters.
