Our client, a respected law firm specializing in creditors' rights and litigation in Virginia Beach, seeks an Attorney licensed in Virginia to join the team. The role focuses on litigation from start to finish with no billable hour requirements and a competitive base salary plus potential settlements.

The firm offers comprehensive training and the independence to manage your own caseload while receiving strong support from an experienced team and staff.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia licensure to practice law.
• Ability to analyze cases and negotiate effective settlements.
• Strong understanding of civil litigation practices and courtroom procedures.
• Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage a high-volume caseload.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology platforms.

Responsibilities

• Handle litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
• 2/3 days on-site, primarily signing.
• Negotiate settlements and work toward efficient resolution of disputed matters.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances throughout your assigned territory (travel expenses reimbursed).
• Partner with internal staff, clients, and opposing counsel to move cases forward effectively and professionally.
• Maintain accurate case records and manage deadlines across multiple matters.
