Ridgemont Resources, Inc. is seeking an Attorney to join its Virginia Beach, VA team. The firm focuses on legal recoveries and creditors' rights for financial institutions, offering a base salary and potential additional compensation through settlements.

The role provides comprehensive training and support for attorneys expanding into collections or creditors' rights litigation. You will manage your own caseload with guidance from an experienced team, promoting professional development and

Qualifications

Active Virginia license to practice law.
Ability to analyze cases and negotiate settlements.
Strong civil litigation knowledge and courtroom procedures.
Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage deadlines and high-volume caseload.
Independent worker who collaborates with colleagues.

Responsabilités

Handle litigation matters from inception through resolution.
Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
2/3 days on-site, primarily signing.
Negotiate settlements and move cases toward efficient resolutions.
Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances throughout your assigned territory (travel expenses reimbursed).
Partner with internal staff, clients, and opposing counsel to move cases forward effectively and professionally.
Maintain accurate case records and manage deadlines across multiple matters.
