Job summary

Exemplar Luxury Group is seeking a Restaurant Host to warmly greet and seat Neiman Marcus customers, ensuring a professional dining experience. You’ll manage reservations (OpenTable), assist guests, and coordinate seating to maximize flow and service quality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of OpenTable platform.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Motivated and results-driven.
• Ability to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties at the same time.
• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.
• “Win together” mentality.
• Role requires standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying 35 pounds.
• Associates must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintains presence at host stand / door to greet and seat customers
• Monitors server performance to ensure smooth service
• Observes proper telephone etiquette
• Handles reservations through OpenTable platform (including VIPs) and inquiries
• Organizes reservations, maximizes seating during operating hours, and optimizes staffing and customer traffic
• Adheres to established accounting procedures for all transactions and maintains knowledge of the POS system
• Keeps flow of service to standards (e.g., proper seating of customers to each wait station)
• Participates in daily pre-shift meetings
• Fulfills duties that may involve lifting objects (tables, chairs, etc.)
• Maintains cleanliness and presentability of menus and menu covers
• Maintains high hygiene standards (uniform, hair, nails)
• Follows posted work schedule and procedures for schedule changes
