Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University is hiring a VIP Program Specialist to lead the Vertically Integrated Projects initiative within the Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowship Mentoring. You will manage, coordinate, communicate, assess, and expand VIP across campus to support student growth and project outcomes.

As a newly created role, you will build the structures, collaborate with faculty leaders, and engage internal and external stakeholders to ensure sustainable VIP programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 1+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to build structures and processes from scratch for a newly created program.

Responsibilities

• Identifies infrastructure needs and cultivates resources to support VIP project development across Penn State.
• Works with Oversight Committee and faculty leaders to define VIP elements and training.
• Conducts outreach to raise VIP awareness among students and departments and ensure equitable access.
• Collaborates with VIP faculty to manage the VIP website and related access structures.
• Creates and manages data collection to assess outcomes and track metrics.
• Represents Penn State at meetings and may supervise part-time or temporary staff.
