COMLUX AMERICA LLC in Indianapolis is seeking an Interiors Design Engineer to independently develop, analyze, and support engineering designs for VIP aircraft interior completion, refurbishment, and STC projects. You will apply advanced engineering principles to create certifiable interior, structural, mechanical, and systems modifications while ensuring FAA and EASA compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering.
• 0–5 years in aircraft completions, aerospace, aviation, or related field.
• Experience with interior completion projects and STC development.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of FAA/EASA certification processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop engineering designs and modifications for VIP interior projects.
• Create, review, and approve 2D drawings and 3D CAD models per standards.
• Perform analysis and substantiation for interiors, structures, mechanical systems, and avionics.
• Develop compliance data packages, installation instructions, and technical presentations.
• Coordinate with Production, Certification, Quality, and suppliers to ensure project success.
• Mentor engineers and support leadership with planning and resource allocation.
