Job summary

Comlux America in Indianapolis, Indiana, seeks an Interiors Design Engineer to independently develop and support VIP aircraft interior completion and modification designs, ensuring FAA/EASA compliance and certifiable outcomes.

You will create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models, perform engineering analyses, and prepare certification data packages while coordinating with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering or related field, or 5 years in aviation design.
• 0–5 years of engineering experience in aircraft completions, aerospace, aviation or related field.
• Experience supporting interior completion projects, STC development, or aircraft certification activities.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop engineering designs for VIP interior completions, refurbishments, and STCs.
• Create, review, and approve 2D drawings and 3D CAD models per standards.
• Perform analysis and substantiation for interiors, structures, and systems.
• Develop reports, certification data, installation instructions, and presentations.
• Coordinate with Production, Certification, Quality, and suppliers for project execution.
• Support installation activities by resolving fit, form, and manufacturing challenges.
