Job summary

Comlux America in Indianapolis seeks an Interior Designer to develop and execute VIP aircraft interior designs from concept through delivery. You will use interior design software, technical drawing practices, and materials knowledge to meet customer expectations and production standards.

The role requires collaborating with the Chief Designer, Sales, Program Management, Engineering, Procurement, Production, and customers to define concepts, specify materials, produce technical documents, and

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in VIP aircraft completions, interior design, product design, or related field.
• Proficiency with computer-aided design and drafting programs; AutoCAD proficiency required.
• Knowledge of interior materials, soft goods, finishes, and material specifications.
• Ability to read, interpret, and create aircraft mechanical and interior drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop interior design concepts, materials schemes, and finishes aligning with customer requirements and production capabilities.
• Prepare technical design documentation and detailed design definitions for aircraft interiors.
• Read, interpret, and create aircraft mechanical and interior drawings to support VIP completion programs.
• Develop and maintain design documentation throughout the aircraft build process.
• Interface with vendors regarding materials, finishes, and design requirements.

Education

Associate's degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, or a related field
