Greater Atlanta Christian School (GAC) seeks a part-time violin instructor to provide private lessons and music theory instruction to PreK-12 students on site near metro Atlanta. The role focuses on technique, repertoire, and individualized goals within a faith-based school community.

The candidate should hold a music degree with strong classical training, possess private teaching experience, and demonstrate effective communication with students and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in music; master's preferred.
• 1+ year experience teaching musical instrument performance.
• Must be a fluent player of the instrument taught.
• Experience teaching students with diverse backgrounds in a private setting.
• Strong classical background.
• Five years playing as a musician and at least one year teaching the instrument.

Responsibilities

• Teach violin private lessons effectively to students.
• Provide 1 on 1 violin lessons tailored to skill level and goals.
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, or examinations as needed.
• Develop and adapt lesson plans based on progress.
• Maintain attendance and progress records.
