Job summary

Greater Atlanta Christian School (GAC) is seeking a dedicated violin instructor to provide private lessons and music theory instruction to students across PreK-12. The role emphasizes individualized skill development, curricular adaptation, and recital preparation on a faith-based campus near Atlanta.

Ideal candidates will hold a music degree, demonstrate a strong classical background, and have experience teaching in private settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in music from accredited college/university; Master’s degree is a plus.
• One or more years experience in teaching musical instrument performance.
• Must be a fluent player of the instrument which will be taught.
• Should have a strong classical background.
• Minimum five years playing as a musician and one year teaching the instrument.

Responsibilities

• Teach violin private lessons and music theory concepts effectively to students.
• Provide 1 on 1 violin lessons, tailored to a student's skill level and goals.
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, competitions, or examinations as needed.
• Develop and adapt lesson plans and curriculum based on student progress and learning styles.
• Maintain accurate attendance and progress records for each student.
