Job summary

YKHC is recruiting a Community Health Aide/Practitioner to deliver primary, acute, chronic and preventive care at village clinics within rural southwest Alaska. You may travel to Bethel or other training sites and participate in ongoing training to maintain certification.

The role supports year‑round coverage, including summer months, with a strong emphasis on community health outcomes. Eligible applicants must be a village resident or relocate, be fluent in English, and strive to learn the

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be nominated by the village council and relocate to serve.
• Willing to travel to Bethel or training sites for sessions.
• Must participate in preventive and chronic care activities.
• Able to provide year‑round coverage including summers; itinerant work.

Responsibilities
