Job summary

Kiawah Island Golf Resort is seeking a Villa Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain villa facilities and equipment on site. This role primarily involves evening shifts and requires reliable, hands-on skills to support guest comfort and resort operations.

You will perform preventative maintenance, handle daily work orders, and respond to guest requests, driving to calls in a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid SC driver's license.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Must pass a background check.
• Entry to mid-level maintenance experience.
• Directly handles guest maintenance requests.
• Maintenance of villas and homes within Kiawah Island Golf Resort program.
• Completes daily repairs and work orders.
• Conducts preventative maintenance (e.g., bulbs, air filters).
• Operates company vehicle for maintenance calls.
• Upholds resort policies; performs other duties.

Position Summary: The Villa Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. This role will primarily have shifts in the evening.

Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay for this position is $24.00 per hour.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Age – 18 years of age due to type of equipment used.
• Must possess a valid SC Driver’s license.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Must work both independently and in a team environment.
• Good to excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Entry to mid-level maintenance tech with basic home maintenance skills and experience.
• Directly deals with guest maintenance requests.
• Responsible for the overall upkeep and general maintenance of the privately owned Villas and Homes on the Kiawah Island Golf Resort program.
• Handles all repairs and work orders on a daily basis.
• Conducts on-going maintenance programs.
• Performs preventative maintenance as scheduled: such as replacing bulbs and air filters.
• Drives in company provided vehicle to maintenance calls.
• Some maintenance tasks include minor toilet and other plumbing repairs, changing out electrical switches, replacing vacuums, repairing torn screens, and diagnosing larger problems to ensure they go the correct specialized contractor.
• Upholds the core values and policies & procedures of the resort.
• All other duties as assigned.

Essential Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
