Job summary

Kiawah Island Golf Resort is seeking a Cook to maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow recipes with precision. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensure health and sanitation standards, and communicate effectively with guests and team members.

Qualifications

Position Summary:

The Cook will perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy. This position is required to m aintain an immaculately clean and organized work environment and be able to set up workstation fast and efficiently. The Cook will follow recipes to the specifications of the Chef (ability to increase or decrease recipe as needed).Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation / health regulations and hotel requirements and must have the ability to work in a fast paced, intense work environment, sometimes under extreme heat and stress.

Pay Rate:

The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process. Pay is based on skill level. The base pay begins at $19.00.

• Follow all rules and regulations in employee handbook properly.
• Properly rotate product in walk in cooler.
• Clean and maintain equipment properly.
• Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulations and hotel requirements.
• Organize and set up workstation fast and efficiently.
• Rotate, label and date all food on station.

Essential Physical Requirements:

• 75% -- Reaches, bends and stoops frequently.
• 20% -- Carries 40 lbs. about 10 times per shift over medium distances.
• 10% -- Verbally communicates with guests and phone.
