Job summary

Kiawah Island Golf Resort in South Carolina seeks a Maintenance Technician to support internal departments, perform service calls, and oversee upkeep of our commercial facilities.

The role includes preventive maintenance, property inspections, and light plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work. Evening shifts (2:00 pm–10:00 pm) may occur, with potential weekends. On-site position reinforcing resort standards and guest-ready facilities.

Qualifications

• Evening availability between 2:00pm - 10:00pm is required, may include weekends/holidays.
• Minimum 2+ years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Eye for detail in the trade and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist internal departments’ staff with service calls and manage upkeep of commercial facilities.
• Complete assigned work orders efficiently to resort standards.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair resort equipment for longevity and proper use.
• Conduct ongoing maintenance programs and perform preventive maintenance.
• Routinely inspect properties to identify opportunities and current needs.
• Perform light plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.
• Uphold resort policies and provide reliable service.

Position Summary: This position assists our internal departments’ staff with all service calls, as well as manages the overall upkeep of our commercial facilities. Routinely inspects all properties to identify any potential opportunities and current needs. And performs preventive maintenance as scheduled, including but not limited to, replacing bulbs and air filters.

Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process.

Qualifications

• Evening availability between 2:00pm - 10:00pm is required, and may include weekends and holidays.
• Minimum 18 years of agedue to type of equipment used and general work environment.
• Minimum ofTwo or more years of maintenance experience highly preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Assist our internal departments’ staff with all service calls, as well as manage the overall upkeep of our commercial facilities.
• Complete all assigned work orders efficiently and to Resort standards.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair resort equipment to ensure longevity and proper usage.
• Conduct on-going maintenance programs.

• Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled.

Essential Physical Requirements

• Must be in good physical condition and have the ability to move / lift various objects throughout shift.
• Must be comfortable climbing and working on ladders ranging from 6’ to 20’ heights.
• Must be able to stand for a majority of the shift while reaching, bending and stooping frequently.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds across short-medium distance.
• Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements.
• Must be able to work in all-weather elements and heights.
