Job summary

Viking Materials, Inc. is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our Minneapolis, MN team. You will manage accounts, process orders, provide tailored quotes, and close deals to drive sales growth in a values-driven environment.

Collaborating with District Managers and internal teams, you will deliver timely support and accurate pricing while building lasting customer relationships. A high school diploma is required; 1–2 years of inside sales experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with District Managers to maintain existing customer accounts and identify new business opportunities.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, providing timely support and addressing inquiries.
• Prepare and deliver pricing quotations for non-contract business within established response times.
• Follow up on quotations to secure business and gather feedback on lost opportunities.
• Monitor inventory levels and availability to provide accurate pricing and lead times.
• Enter customer orders accurately and ensure proper processing and setup.
• Track orders through production and shipment, coordinating with plant and production teams to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Monitor inventory commitments for contract customers and communicate concerns proactively.
• Conduct outbound calls to inactive and prospective customers to generate new sales opportunities.
• Maintain regular communication with District Managers regarding customer activity and territory updates.

Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $45,000.00/Yr. - USD $50,000.00/Yr. depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
