Job Title: Viewpoint Vista System Administrator

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced ERP Systems Analyst with strong hands-on expertise in Trimble Viewpoint Vista to optimize and support our core construction ERP system.

In this role, you will work closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and IT to improve system functionality, streamline workflows, enhance reporting, and ensure the ERP supports the company's business needs.

The ideal candidate is a systems-oriented professional who understands how construction accounting and operational processes work within an ERP environment. You should be comfortable troubleshooting system issues, configuring workflows, improving data quality, and helping teams get the most out of the technology they use every day.

Deep knowledge of Trimble Viewpoint Vista is the top priority. We are looking for someone who can translate business requirements into practical system improvements rather than someone focused exclusively on traditional accounting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

ERP Administration & Configuration

• Administer, maintain, and optimize the Trimble Viewpoint Vista ERP system.
• Configure system settings, user permissions, security roles, approval workflows, and related processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing system functionality and streamline business operations.
• Support system updates, upgrades, testing, and the implementation of new features.

Business Process Optimization

• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and IT to understand business requirements and translate them into effective ERP solutions.
• Review and improve workflows across General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), job costing, work-in-progress (WIP), payroll, purchasing, and billing.
• Identify process inefficiencies, recurring issues, and opportunities for automation.
• Help ensure the ERP system supports accurate, consistent, and efficient business processes.

Troubleshooting & Technical Support

• Investigate system issues, determine root causes, and implement appropriate solutions.
• Serve as a key point of contact for ERP-related questions and escalations.
• Coordinate with Trimble support and other technical partners when advanced troubleshooting is required.
• Support data integrity, system reliability, and effective integrations with other business applications.

Reporting & Data Management

• Improve reporting capabilities, dashboards, and access to business information.
• Support data validation, quality control, and reconciliation between system modules.
• Identify opportunities to enhance reporting through tools such as Power BI, SQL, or other reporting solutions.

User Training & Documentation

• Develop and maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and process guidelines.
• Train and support users across accounting, project management, and field operations.
• Help drive user adoption and promote consistent use of ERP functionality.
• Communicate system changes and best practices to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong, hands-on experience with Trimble Viewpoint Vista, ideally in an ERP Administrator, Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Super User, Implementation Specialist, or Functional Consultant capacity.
• Working knowledge of construction accounting and job-costing processes.
• Familiarity with ERP modules and workflows involving GL, AP, AR, job costing, WIP, payroll, purchasing, and billing.
• Experience configuring ERP systems, managing user access, improving workflows, and troubleshooting system issues.
• Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into practical system configurations or process improvements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience documenting processes, training users, and supporting system testing or upgrades.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
