Harbor Health Services is seeking a Vietnamese Medical Interpreter to join the Daniel Driscoll-Neponset Health Center in Boston. The role supports interpretation for patients and staff across consecutive, simultaneous, and sight translation modes, ensuring accurate communication and cultural context.

The position is 30 hours per week with a comprehensive benefits package. Requirements include a high school diploma, medical interpreter certification with 40+ hours training, and fluency in English

Competenze

• Fluency in English and target language required.
• Medical Terminology knowledge required (Tele Language assessment).
• Customer service skills essential.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with health professionals.
• Experience as a Medical Interpreter preferred.

Mansioni

• Provide interpretation between patients and staff in consecutive, simultaneous, and sight translation modes.
• Explain health center resources, office protocols, and limitations to clinicians and patients.
• Authenticate and document pertinent data into the EMR within 24 hours per protocol.
• Schedule appointments with Patient Access Representatives when needed.
• Arrive on time and adhere to interpreter schedule.
