Job Description: Interpreter (Vietnamese)

Big Language Solutions is hiring hourly interpreters to provide interpreting services via telephone to our customers and their clients.

We serve clients across the country, offering interpretation in over 240 languages and dialects. Our interpreters are valued for their expertise, job satisfaction, and their ability to support their families.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Facilitate understanding in communication by faithfully interpreting everything said, without adding, omitting, or changing content.
2. Maintain impartiality, showing no bias or preference toward either party during interpretation.
3. Interpret in the first person at all times, clarify when necessary, and uphold confidentiality and the code of ethics for interpreters.
4. Be aware of cultural differences and explain them when appropriate.
5. Continuously improve interpreting skills and ethical performance, providing the highest level of customer service.

Qualifications:

• Fluent in Vietnamese.
• Able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily.
• Must be located in Houston, Texas, 77056 area (if not WFM USA).
• Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate effectively in English, including instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to present information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings.

• Job Type: Full-time
• Pay Range: $18-$30 hourly (subject to experience, training, education, and location)
