Job summary

Rapport International is seeking qualified interpreters to provide in-person language services in the Omaha area, Nebraska. We need bilingual professionals able to assist non-English speakers with medical appointments, maintaining confidentiality and upholding HIPAA standards.

This is an independent contractor, PRN role with flexible hours. Vietnamese interpreters are especially encouraged to apply, and candidates must have reliable transportation and printing capabilities for vouchers.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Vietnamese.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality/HIPAA compliance.
• In-person interpreters only; must have transportation to attend appointments locally.
• Technical skills for learning/using online portal; printing and uploading vouchers.
• Must have access to a printer.
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred.
• Background checks and drug screens required.
• Schedule is PRN, part-time or less depending on languages spoken; availability M-F 7AM-5PM.

Requirements

• We are looking for IN PERSON interpreters only, you must have transportation to attend appointments locally
• Technical skills for learning/using online portal (printing and uploading vouchers required)
• Must have access to a printer
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred
• Background checks and drug screens required
• Schedule is PRN (as needed), part time (or less depending on languages spoken) and is flexible based on interpreter's availability and preferences. However, applicants must have some availability M-F 7AM-5PM as this is when services are typically needed.

Please note, this is an independent contractor position with flexible hours. Hours are not guaranteed and are based on availability, languages spoken and client needs.
