Qualifications

• Fully bilingual with proficiency in target languages.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality/HIPAA compliance.
• Must have in-person availability with transportation to attend appointments locally.
• Technical skills for learning/using online portal (printing and uploading vouchers required).
• Must have access to a printer.
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred.
• Background checks and drug screens required.
• Schedule is PRN (as needed), part time (or less depending on languages spoken) and is flexible based on interpreter's availability and preferences. Availability M-F 7AM-5PM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation for local Nebraska clients, primarily in Lincoln.
• Attend appointments with transportation to sites as needed.
• Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements.
• Learn and operate the online portal as required (printing/uploading vouchers).
• Submit interpretation vouchers and documentation as part of the contracting process.
