Main Purpose of the Job

We are seeking experienced English into Vietnamese translators to join our growing team for one of our global clients, a music streaming company offering services such as music streaming and podcasts. The successful candidate will take ownership of incoming work on this account and contribute actively to its success.

Job Details

• Title: English into Vietnamese Creative UI and Marketing Senior Translator / Reviewer
• Start Date: ASAP
• Location: Remote (based in US or Canada)
• Task Type: Translation, Copy Editing
• Estimated Work Volume: 15 hours/week
• Employment Type: Freelance

Main Duties

• Translate and review content from English into Vietnamese, ensuring the original meaning is conveyed in a manner that is readable and understandable to the target audience.
• Content types include informational, legal, marketing, product, and support materials.
• Use CAT tools, specifically Smartling, for translation tasks.

Required Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience translating and reviewing content in the relevant subject areas.
• Proficiency in marketing, product, legal, and informational content translation.
• Familiarity with various translation and terminology tools.
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
• Proficiency in Vietnamese, with native fluency in the target language.
• Degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to follow instructions, including character restrictions.
• Ability to effectively communicate the rationale behind transcreation skills.
• Knowledge of UI, customer support, and creative content such as synopses and episodic titles.
