OVERVIEW

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

We are seeking experienced English into Vietnamese translators to join our growing team for a global client, a music streaming company offering entertainment services such as music streaming and podcasts. The selected candidates will take ownership of incoming work on this account and actively contribute to the program's success.

Project Details:

Job Title: English into Vietnamese Creative UI and Marketing Senior Translator/Reviewer

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Remote (based in US or Canada)

Task Type: Translation, Copy Editing

Estimated Work Volume: 15 hours/week

Employment Type: Freelance

MAIN DUTIES

• Translate and review content from English into Vietnamese, ensuring the original meaning is conveyed in a manner that is readable and understandable to the target audience.
• Content types include 'Informational', 'Legal', 'Marketing', 'Product', and 'Support'.
• Use CAT tools, specifically Smartling, to manage translation workflows.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Minimum of 3 years' experience translating and reviewing content in the relevant subject areas.
• Proficient in marketing, product, legal, and informational translations.
• Well-versed in translation and terminology tools.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
• Proficiency in Vietnamese with native fluency.
• Degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent experience.
• Able to follow instructions, including character restrictions.
• Ability to effectively communicate the rationale behind transcreation decisions.
• Knowledge of UI, customer support, and creative content such as synopses and episodic titles.
