WICS in Springfield, IL is seeking a News Videographer/Editor to capture compelling video for on-air and social media. You will shoot, interview, and edit using Avid, delivering stories in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

The role requires self-driven creativity, deadline discipline, and the ability to work holidays, nights, weekends, and severe weather as part of the News Department. A company vehicle will be provided for assignments.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $17.50 To $18.50 Annually

WICS has an exciting opportunity for a Videographer\Editor. WICS is seeking a News Videographer/Editor to create visually engaging images for both on-air broadcast and social media. Candidates must have self-driven creativity and a passion for visual storytelling. They will use these skills to tell stories daily. In addition to shooting video and interviews, the ideal candidate will also be able to edit newscasts using Avid. All duties must be performed in a timely manner in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment. You must be detail-oriented, able to follow directions, and demonstrate the ability to perform duties and make independent decisions under extreme pressure. News Department employees will be required to work holidays, nights, weekends, and during all modes of severe weather. Videographers are assigned company vehicles. It is their responsibility to ensure the vehicles are well-maintained. This is a Full-Time position

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Recording video and interviews

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Non-linear editing experience

The base hourly compensation range for this role is $17.50 to $18.50 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, vacation time, and floating holidays.
