Job summary

WICS in Springfield, IL is seeking a News Videographer/Editor to shoot video and interviews for on-air broadcasts and social media, telling stories with creativity under deadline pressure. The ideal candidate will edit newscasts using Avid, perform non-linear editing, and follow scripts precisely while working flexible shifts, including overnights, weekends, and holidays.

A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required. Videographers are issued company vehicles.

Qualifications

• Experience editing news video for broadcast
• Experience interviewing subjects and capturing compelling soundbites

Responsibilities

• Record video and interviews for on-air and social platforms
• Edit video to match scripts and rundowns
• Work flexible shifts including overnights, weekends and holidays
