Job summary

The role requires self-motivation, deadline discipline, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. A company vehicle is provided to support site coverage and field shoots.

WICS has an exciting opportunity for a Videographer/Editor. WICS is seeking a News Videographer/Editor to create visually engaging images for both on-air broadcast and social media. Candidates must have self-driven creativity and a passion for visual storytelling. They will use these skills to tell stories daily. In addition to shooting video and interviews, the ideal candidate will also be able to edit newscasts using Avid. All duties must be performed in a timely manner in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment. You must be detail-oriented, able to follow directions, and demonstrate the ability to perform duties and make independent decisions under extreme pressure. News Department employees will be required to work holidays, nights, weekends, and during all modes of severe weather. Videographers are assigned company vehicles. It is their responsibility to ensure the vehicles are well-maintained. This is a Full-Time position

DUTIES INCLUDE:

Recording video and interviews

Editing video to script

Conducting interviews

Safe operation of company vehicle

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Non-linear editing experience

Required availability for flexible shifts, including but not limited to overnight, weekends, and late evenings

Valid Driver's license and good driving record

Ability to work in deadline-driven, fast-paced environments

Ability to physically lift and carry up to 50 pounds of equipment

The base hourly compensation range for this role is $17.50 to $18.50 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, vacation time, and floating holidays.
