Job summary

Side is expanding its freelance linguist pool and is seeking experienced English to Spanish (EU) translators with strong MTPE and QA skills for video game content.

Join our network of freelance linguists for future collaboration opportunities, working remotely with Side Localisation teams and project managers. A short, unpaid trial will be required as part of the selection process.

Qualifications

• Native-level Spanish (EU) and excellent English.
• Minimum 3 years of professional localization experience, ideally with video game content.
• Familiarity with MTPE workflows.
• Proficiency in memoQ.
• Reliable, detail-oriented and clearly enthusiastic about gaming.

Responsibilities

• Translate and/or post-edit video game content, including UI, dialogue, narrative, help text and marketing materials.
• Proofread and QA localized text to ensure accuracy, consistency, and cultural authenticity.
• Collaborate remotely with Side Localisation project management and linguistic teams.
• Complete a short, unpaid translation and MTPE trial as part of the selection process.

• Must be able to receive payment in Japanese Yen (JPY).
