About the Role

MrBeast is looking for a data-driven, creative, and fast-paced Video Editor to join our Content & Post-Production team working on the MrBeast Reacts channel. This role is for a master-level editor who lives and breathes YouTube culture, capable of transforming raw multi-cam reaction feeds into hyper-engaging content that keeps millions of viewers locked in. You will thrive in a high-feedback environment, balancing aggressive production schedules with a relentless obsession for frame-by-frame pacing and audience retention.

What You'll Do
  • Cut and assemble raw multi-cam reaction footage, seamlessly balancing primary talent commentary, PIP source media, and visual punch-ins.
  • Engineer high-retention video intros and hooks that immediately fulfill title and thumbnail promises within the first 30 seconds.
  • Execute hyper-fast pacing, comedic timing, and visual pop-ups, including kinetic typography, memes, and custom tracking graphics.
  • Perform high-quality sound design, including impactful SFX, dynamic music ducking, and precise audio balancing for voice clarity.
  • Collaborate closely with Lead Editors and creative teams to incorporate rapid turnaround notes and feedback loops.
  • Analyze YouTube retention curves alongside lead editors to pinpoint drop-off moments and refine pacing rules for subsequent edits.
  • Maintain clean, highly organized timeline projects in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, adhering to internal post-production standards.
  • Coordinate with the thumbnail team to ensure visual assets and key video climaxes align perfectly with channel creative strategy.
  • Stay ahead of internet culture and viral editing meta to continuously inject fresh humor and visual variety into channel content.
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of professional video editing experience focused on high-pacing YouTube, commentary, or viral digital content.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects, specifically with keyframing, motion tracking, masking, and dynamic linking.
  • Deep structural understanding of YouTube algorithm dynamics, Average View Duration (AVD), CTR, and retention curve analysis.
  • Mastery of dynamic sound design, audio leveling, and music curation to enhance comedic and emotional shifts.
  • A data-driven mindset that prioritizes viewer retention evidence over personal creative assumptions.
  • High feedback sensitivity, with the ability to handle rapid creative criticism constructively and pivot quickly.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, maintaining frame-by-frame precision in pacing and visual overlays.
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume workflows, including file compression, color correction, and final exports optimized for YouTube.
  • Extreme ownership over end-to-end video performance, production deadlines, and technical accuracy.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp .
