The City of Ontario has an excellent part-time opportunity for a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual interested in gaining valuable experience as a Video and Photo Intern. This position will be responsible for capturing and producing visual content that promotes the department's activities, services, and community engagement efforts. This includes assisting with various photo and video projects of activities, programs, community outreach, and public events, as well as planning, developing, and executing creative social media and multimedia content.
The ideal candidate will have experience in social media, marketing, photography and videography, demonstrate proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Final Cut Pro; exhibit excellent communication and collaboration skills; and have the ability to work in fast-paced, high-stress environments. Additionally, the successful candidate will embody the department's mission and vision as well as the qualities of a Five Tool Player - Leader, Thinker, Communicator, Operator and Public Servant - and the principles of the City's Customer Service Philosophy – Empathy, Respect, and Problem Solving.
The Video and Photo Intern is a paid, part-time/temporary position scheduled to work no more than 29 hours per week and is not eligible to participate in the City's health insurance or retirement plans.
NOTE: The Video and Photo Intern is a common classification used in a variety of City departments. This recruitment will result in an eligibility list to meet the current and future staffing needs of departments with openings in this classification.

Previous experience in photography and/or videography preferably in a public service or emergency response environment Previous experience creating content for social media platforms Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite or Final Cut Pro for photo and video editing.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends or during emergency incidents as needed.
