Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to build and maintain cloud-based video analytics and security tools across our global Operations teams. You will deploy, extend, and support internal analytics systems using AWS and internal AI platforms.

The role combines hands-on development with automation, iteration, and agile planning to deliver secure, scalable video solutions on a global scale.

Qualifications

• Experience automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain cloud-based video analytics solutions for internal stakeholders.
• Create and maintain cloud-based automation applications for deployment and configuration of 1P and 3P video solutions.
• Strive for cost-effective, highly available solutions.
• Develop scalable infrastructure automation tools for global Operations video security infrastructure.
• Ensure products are secure, robust, scalable, maintainable, and adaptable as services scale.
• Build instrumentation for health visibility, with alerting and self-healing capabilities.
• Uphold high standards of code quality and engineering excellence.
