Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to build and extend cloud-based video analytics capabilities for its global security infrastructure. You will design, deploy, and support internally developed analytics software using AWS and AI platforms, and work in an agile environment with cross‑functional teams across Loss Prevention, Operations, and Safety.

Qualifications

Experience automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure.
Experience with at least one modern language (Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain cloud-based video analytics solutions for internal stakeholders.
Create and maintain cloud-based automation applications for deployment and configuration of 1P and 3P video solutions.
Continuously strive for cost-effective and highly available solutions.
Develop scalable infrastructure automation tools for global video security infrastructure.
Ensure products are secure, robust, scalable, and maintainable as services evolve.
Build instrumentation for visibility, alerting and self-healing capabilities.
Maintain high standards of code quality and engineering excellence.
