Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. seeks a Systems Development Engineer II – Analytics to build and run AWS Agentic AI services and analytics solutions in air‑gapped environments for major government customers.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and hands‑on experience in large‑scale distributed systems, networking, and Linux. You will design scalable, secure automation and collaborate across teams to improve performance and reliability.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals: networking, storage, operating systems.
1+ year of experience designing or architecting new or existing systems focused on reliability and scaling.
Current, active U.S. Government security clearance of TS/SCI with polygraph.

Responsibilities

Develop, build, and operate AWS Agentic AI services that enable customers to optimize their data.
Lead design and implementation of solutions across ADC partitions and regions, improving scalability, automation, and quality of service.
Collaborate cross‑functionally to foster constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and resolve contentious issues.
Apply strong Linux and networking fundamentals to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in large‑scale distributed environments.
Design and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure systems, including automation of operational tasks and open‑source tool development.
Drive customer‑centric improvements through data‑driven decision making, bias for action, and continuous process refinement.
Participate in technical post‑mortem discussions to identify root causes of complex problems.
