Job summary

Adams County Colorado's District Attorney’s Office is seeking a Restitution Technician to support the Victim Programs Unit in processing restitution for criminal cases. You will work under the Director of Victim Programs, handling case data, supporting victims, and coordinating with agencies to ensure accurate restitution determinations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of one year progressively responsible administrative work.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one year experience working in a legal environment preferred.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Reviews case files to identify all victims and ensure they receive timely and accurate information.
• Coordinates with victims of crime, collateral agencies, colleagues, and the public to obtain, verify, and verify financial documentation.
• Reviews, analyzes, and processes restitution forms and supporting documentation to verify losses.
• Assembles and assesses complex data and financial figures based on verification of crime-related losses.
• Prepares restitution-related notices, motions, and exhibits using verified supporting documentation.
• Establishes and maintains knowledge of restitution statute and pertinent case laws.
• Documents case work in the database program.
• Serves as a point of contact for restitution inquiries.
• Demonstrates teamwork and collaborative environment.
