Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three years of full-time law enforcement experience related to victim advocacy.
  • Two years developing new processes in a regulated environment.
  • Two years leading projects or process management.
  • Accreditation through NOVA, COVA, or National Advocate Credentialing Program preferred.
  • Must be twenty-one years of age and have a Colorado driver's license or eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Research, develop, and implement RTD processes for victim advocacy under Police Department direction.
  • Plan and coordinate on-call and follow-up victim advocacy services.
  • Manage caseloads, document cases, and refer clients to counseling, legal, and shelter resources.
  • Prepare for on-call emergencies, train volunteers, and coordinate schedules.
  • Provide direct victim services on-scene and during follow-up, including court support.
