Job summary

Tuolumne Me-Wuk Tribal Council in Tuolumne, CA seeks a Support Services Advocate to assist DV/SA victims with advocacy, safety planning, and referrals. The role supports the Social Services Department and partners with law enforcement and community agencies.

You will participate in outreach, train staff, and ensure accurate data collection while complying with confidentiality and tribal policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Willing to obtain State Certified Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault certification within 90-120 days.
• Knowledge of modern office technology and data processing.
• Experience providing advocacy services to DV/SA victims.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and speech.
• Valid California driver's license and driving policy compliance.
• Experience working with Native American communities.
• Ability to pass a background and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assess needs and resources related to grants and outreach.
• Uphold confidentiality requirements on and off duty.
• Assist with strategic planning for victims/survivors.
• Maintain data, logs, and required documentation.
• Conduct outreach and public relations to meet grant goals.
• Provide advocacy, safety planning, and referrals as needed.
• Coordinate transportation and support services for clients.
• Attend trainings and required meetings; assist with presentations.
