Job description

The client is seeking a Vice President, Supply Chain to provide executive leadership for end-to-end food distribution operations, ensuring the safe, equitable, and cost-effective movement of food from warehouses to community partners. The role oversees core supply chain functions including safety, warehousing, transportation, inventory planning, and customer service, while advancing the organization’s mission to reduce food insecurity.

As the senior-most leader of the supply chain function, the Vice President, Supply Chain is responsible for operational performance and continuous improvement, and will support the development of a scalable, multi-year supply chain strategy. The position is expected to strengthen the organization’s ability to meet growing community needs through effective planning, execution, and process improvement across distribution operations.

The client serves a multi-county region through a network of community partners and community-based distribution sites. As the organization consolidates legacy distribution sites into a new Central Hub in San Jose, the VP, Supply Chain will help build the people, systems, and infrastructure needed to expand distribution capacity and enhance emergency response capabilities, supporting a more integrated and efficient operation designed to serve the community for the long term.
